Desk Cleanse

 Cleaning my workspace.

I had pondered and wondered long enough how much tick-tocks will be spent sitting upon this very affordable set of furnitures that I have managed to bring on a long journey from IKEA to Cibubur, the answer would be: enough. long enough.

I like my desk clean, but I'm not in any shape or form, a neat person.
I like to create things, I'm the type of person that stuffs clothing materials inside my closet and would get up at 2 AM to cut them and try to invent a clothing if suddenly I had an idea that comes to mind.
It's a blessing and a curse, I swear.

But here's the thing: I get bored easily.
So I needed to clean, choose, throw away things from my desk that I no longer want in my life in this new, splendid, exciting year.
what changes have you made this year?
tell me! x

t h e o f f i c e .

For months Bram, Ruthfi and I have talked about renting a space for an office. Being self-employed can be frustrating without the change of sceneries, without the friends, without the space to express oneself.

Working in a creative industry especially, I struggle daily when I have to wake up and walked 2 steps to get to my working space. It didn't inspire me, in fact, it stopped my brain from functioning and made me lazier than the piece of crap I already naturally am.
SO on February 2017, we moved in into our base camp.

We went to IKEA and got a TON of things, and stuffed them into my little Honda Brio.

I knew from early on that a creative space needs to be clear and inspiring. I convinced my officemates to settle with white and black, ..and loads of plants. Oddly enough, they were more concerned about the plants. I had to ASSURE then that it would be amazing to have greeneries. They still never admit that our office looks SMASHIN' because of the plants, despite the countless compliments we got on it.

I sit in between Ruthfi & Bram.
and we dance in between shooting & editing & following up clients.

I love our little basecamp.

The Lodge Maribaya, Bandung

So, the last time I went to Bandung and took a break with Ruzzy, I had to take travel-bus back to Cibubur alone from Bandung after the trip because Ruth lives in Bogor, therefore we would have to go on different directions. I don't like travelling for 3++ hours in a travel-car alone.

Being the whiney, spoilt girlfriend that I am, I called my boyfriend and told him about it. He then, out of nowhere, told me that his brother had to attend a wedding in Bandung that same day, thus if I want, I can go back to Jakarta with them. WHAT ARE THE ODDS?

THAT's fantastic, because a.) I get to pay less haha! b.) I have Bram to accompany me to go to one last place before heading home!

Well we opted for The Lodge, Maribaya upon seeing hundreds of pretty photos and fantastic reviews on Instagram. Haha!

Turning Twenty Three

 BEING 23.

Twenty three is here, and it wasn't as shocking or as depressing as I thought I would be.
Still too young to be considered by many as the normal age for regular things like a divorce, a full house payment, a CEO in a big multinational company, a preacher, a scholar, a president, even an attendee of Arisan. But old enough to drive myself to KFC to order their special cheesy chicken menu. WIN-WIN, that is.

1.5

1.5 Years.
One and a half.

A couple of days ago, on September 9th, 2016, Bram and I set a lunch date at my all-time favourite restaurant in the world. We ordered the same menu we always get, and laughed about how we're able to tolerate each other for 1.5 years now. It might seem like an easy-peasy, small number of years to some of you, but Bram and I have never been in a longer relationships and the fact that we're still here despite countable little fights, is mesmerising.

It's honestly lovely to have somebody to direct the newest gossips to, someone to tell about my frustration with work, studies, parents, and also somebody to ask when I need opinions on what shall I improve in my work, or as little as which hairstyle looks better on me. I grew up with 3 little sisters you see, growing up I talked more to diaries than my own mother. I have a lot of friends, and I'm happy Bram could serve as a friend too.

So hopefully, here's to more celebratory lunches, self-timer portraits and "I'm proud of you"s, as we stand by each other's side while ticking the boxes on our list of goals.

I Am Still Alive!

Greetings fellow readers,
I haven't been on for a while.
Life has been hectic, and truthfully, I come here time after time and I hate how outdated this blog is.
Writing has always been a thing of mine.
It is the form of story telling that I opt to explore after being told one too many time that I talk too much, yikes.

Anyways, how is life?
I am still the confused 22 year old that I was a few months back.
But here are a few things I need to constantly remind myself:

1. The only constant in life is CHANGES.
things, people, feelings change, and you need to learn to let go of the things out of your control.

2. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
as long as you are healthy, it doesn't matter if people comment on your appearance, it's only a reflection of their own insecurities.
Shirt: H&M
Outer: Unbranded
Shoes: Forever21
Bag: Michael Kors
Watch: Fossil
3. Surround yourself with positive people
Fuck those "friends" who make you bite your tongue and feel bad about yourself.
That's all I say for now.
I hope everyone is well.

Adios 2015, Hey 2016!

Dear reader,
I'm writing to you on January 1, 2016!

I'd like to start the year with what were my morning prayer every day in middle school:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

2015 were so good to me, there are a few downs that I can easily overlooked over the shower of ups I've received.
Over the year, I learnt about so many things including passion, the courage to pursue them, and consistency.
I met so many new people, eliminate a few non-mutual so-called friendships, and cherished the real people who made big impacts.
I took lots of chances in which I've made fond memories of.
I made a few super memorable trips with cousins, friends and family.
I met someone I fell in love with, some to call friends, lots of inspiring people.
I loved, hated, and let go of the things I cannot fix.

May 2016 be more.

Love,

Halloween 2015 + 22nd Birthday

It's only fitting that my 100th post is my birthday + favourite halloween party so far.
My 'All Hallows Eve' this year is spent at campus.
I'm the President of Art Division at my Campus' Student Body, so I made sure we celebrate the end of October the proper way. :P I collected my amazing team to plan an awesome, chill party with decorations and good food and I am so happy with how all turned out.
In addition to all, it was also my birthday, so it's a double party for me and I couldn't have asked for more.
I was going to go as Khaleesi Danearys Targaryen but I feel too energetic and sexy on halloween eve, that I felt like I should just go as half-face (:
My lovely friends took the opportunity to throw me a surprise party, it's too adorable.
Chris, Nazneen & Tanya sang 22
Ella made me this pastry puff in replacement of cake because I don't like cakes
Bram made sure he helped me taking photos the whole night >.<
The whole IPMI IBS was amazing that night, I felt so loved.
 "..but it's halloweeeeeen, baby!"
all and all,
it was one of the best halloweens I've ever been to,
what were you for halloween?
lemme know! :D
